After traveling & living all over the country, we settled in to our dream of homesteading here in Floyd, VA in 2013. Thankful for our growing family, we decided that we wanted to live in a place consistent with our personal values regarding family, community, learning, sustainability, & agriculture (not to mention the amazing bluegrass music)!
Years ago, when we first met in Western NC, we would drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to go for day hikes or camp. We often used to wonder aloud about those houses and folks that lived right there, along this beautiful stretch of nature trails. We are still amazed at how blessed we are to now be on this side of our daydream!
